Power, capability, and undeniable looks are arriving in late 2026 for the new GMC Sierra truck, and that’s an understatement.

The Most Powerful Engines Yet

Fueled by the most powerful engines yet, the GMC Sierra HD will offer two options: the enhanced 6.6-liter gas V8 and the all-new Duramax 8.3-liter turbo-diesel V8.

The 6.6-liter V8 is set to deliver 412 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque, and can tow up to 19,000 pounds. A carefully tuned turbo-jet intake manifold helps air move with efficiency, keeping responsiveness sharp and delivering confidence with every haul.

The real powerhouse, and what hauling enthusiasts can’t stop talking about, is the all-new Duramax V8. Capable of producing an impressive 555 horsepower and an astounding 1,230 lb-ft of torque, the turbo-diesel V8 is set to deliver heavy-duty performance. With up to 38,000 pounds of max towing capacity, this engine proves it’s worthy of the HD name.
